An excellent choice of real ale, kept in perfect condition. There's a comfortable function / darts room at the back. Landlord has a reputation for being a bit grumpy sometimes, but generally a welcoming pub with a decent pint.
History galore and a great selection of ales, plenty of past awards too Check out the outdoor area, bit cold when I visited but will be great in Summer!
Excellent pub. Great atmosphere, very friendly and thank goodness it's not Shepard Mean, that means you can get some really good beers.

Went in at 1550 and stumbled out just before 10pm for a train home. Brilliant selection of ales and nice cider too. Lovely boozer.
