Very warm welcome. Clean and tidy venue, but with slightly dinged decor. Quirky hand written menus, with a decent choice of classic pub grub. Food was served at a good pace, came piping hot and tasted great.
Great service, amazing food especially catered for vegetarian. Halloumi sticks were unbelievable and the burgers top drawer. The first time we've bee here but definitely won't be the last!!
Nice pub with really lovely staff and owner. Food is great been ordering from them all lockdown off deliveroo and finally got to go in person for a meal. Boyfriend said it was the best guiness he’s had in a while

I was there just before new year celebrating my birthday and l must say l can't fault the place. The food and wine were excellent. What impressed my party and l most was the treatment we received from the landlord/chef and his wife.They were both very friendly and courteous as was the waitress. When they found out it was my birthday they brought me a complimentary slice of cake and sang happy birthday. I've heard their sunday lunches are excellent so l'll be back for one of those. Excellent all round
Amazing pub .... its gone back up to how it use to be, food was amazing, had the ribs and the southern fried chicken burger and they were out of this world! Recommending to all my friends, the waitress couldn't have been more accommodating.
Great Sunday roast, starter mushroom soup was full of flavour. Roast was perfect, meat quality and the vegetables. Generous portions and great value for money! Staff here are welcoming and helpful. Atmosphere is great. Have been for roast twice here both times have been top notch! Highly recommended!
extremely over priced, under sized sunday dinner, standard plate 3/4 covered barely, beef and gammon was nice but portions of microwave heated food was tragic, yorkies were still frozen, £48 for 2 of us, apparently we had extra spuds, extra pigs, extra cauliflower, Realy !
Went for a midweek lunch and we wont be going again. Hubby asked what cask sles were on.....there werent any. I ordered gammon, he ordered a stilton burger only to be told a few minutes later they were out of burgers. Ok so he decided on fish and chips......another few minutes and we were told they were out of fish, so third attempt and he joined me in ordering gammon. The meal was average, the skin on chips that were supposed to be served were ordinary frozen chips. This was all 5 days before Christmas and apart from some decorations at the bar in front of the main door the rest of the place was completely devoid of any seasonal cheer
Went for sunday lunch today and wow, it was wonderful! : Great food, lovely atmosphere and staff are attentive. Food was served quickly. Have been a few times since lockdown was lifted and the new owners took over, will be going again for sure. Great place to eat!
