You get what you pay for and what we paid for was one of our best family lunches in a long time! We ate in the restaurant where emphasis is placed on locally sourced meats, fish n fowl but also on the vegetable selections which are grown in the Pig's kitchen gardens. The menu was impressive, we thought, and very tasty. The restaurant and adjacent lounges had a relaxing, friendly atmosphere. Starters, main course, dessert, couple of glasses of wine and coffee - £170 + 12.5% service for 3 adults. Waiting staff attentive and courteous. We loved it.

We just ate in the Folly which is the casual dining garden room in the grounds. It's really nicely restored and the team in there were super friendly. The food and drinks were very good. We will definitely return, our only tip would be to broaden the menu just slightly... we get that its about quick casual dining.... but if you don't want one of the flatbreads there isn't too much on offer. Well executed as ever with The Pig though.

We were not overwhelmed by the decor, which appears to have stripped back much of the Jacobean features or over-clad them with weathered garden look that the Pig has developed as a style. However we were most put back by the staff and the almost compulsory approach to 12.5% service. This was topped off at check out when one member of staff stepped back whilst talking to another at reception, nearly standing on my pregnant wife. He followed this up by simply turning to look at us and then promptly turning back to his conversation. We were left waiting from check in, through dinner and then finally check out. To be honest they were not all awful but when you are paying 12.5% on everything including when you buy a drink directly form the bar you expect a better standard.

Super place to stay and eat. Several lounges to chill out in, lovely bar serving great cocktails and more. The restaurant is amazing with locally sourced ingredients.

First time visitor to The Pig at Combe for a lunch and I was impressed by the setting and atmosphere of the place. The wine list was the longest I have seen and the restaurant served attractive and enjoyable good. Would definitely visit again, perhaps even to stay next time!
