3 of us popped in for a cup of tea after a tour of Kilmainham Gaol. After ordering we were presented with one pot of tea and 3 mugs. The pot only held enough tea for 2 of the mugs and 1 tea bag was used. We raised the issue and were told the best they could do was top up the pot with more hot water. Basically this joke of an establishment feels it is acceptable to charge their customers €7.80 for a single tea bag and some hot water. Shameful. Steer clear.
Not friendly or welcoming. We walked over from the hotel to get a drink and dinner and were completely ignored for about 15 minutes. We walked to the bar to ask if we needed to order at the bar or what the deal was. A server finally came to take our order. We got a beer with a side of attitude and decided to skip any food since their menu is VERY limited and nothing looked appetizing.
The food was really lovely, fish tasted fresh and the servers were extremely attentive. We came here after our tour of the gaol across the road. Special thanks to the blonde lady with the Balenciaga shoes on, one of the best servers I've ever had and very friendly despite having to work on Easter Sunday!
Visited before and after the tour of Kilmainham Gaol! Very welcoming atmosphere. Great pint of Guinness. Friendly locals. Only in for drink but decided to stay for food too. Great meal and service. Would definitely return.
Nice pub, good Guinness. They have a decent food menu too.
The staff are lovely and the pints are exactly how they should be, fresh and poured perfectly which would have gone down even better if the pub was to have some live traditional music on, to match the decor and historical location of the pub.
Lovely pub to visit when in the area. The food is decent and staff are friendly. They also allow you to bring your dog in no matter the size.
Had the soup here which was poor and luke warm. It lacked any flavour. I had to empty half a cannister of black pepper just to eat the thing. In fairness to the establishment, they refunded me the cost, when I informed them, so that was a fair gesture
I went here for food and was served by Denise. She was fantastic and really looked after us. I would highly recommend the food, the service was excellent. I also felt extremely safe due to the spacing between tables, covid signage and stocked up hand sanitizer.
Great spot to stop in for a gorgeous pint of Guinness. I didn't eat but the food smelled lovely and the staff were very nice
