We visited in early October for lunch. It was very quiet out of season, the service was very good and we didn't have to wait long for our food. I had a butternut squash risotto with feta cheese and pumpkin seeds. My husband had Jamaican mutton, with coconut rice, flat bread and mango and spring onion chutney. It was all delicious, we tried each others and liked them both very much.

Third time we have visited over a few years. Was disappointed frankly.  One of our party was very disappointed in the food. Having had great experiences before we were expecting equally great food but sadly not. May have been an off night but I don't think we will be returning.Food: 3/5

It felt like more effort was put into the Christmas decorations than the food, unfortunately. The best bit was the Broccoli and Stilton soup  The atmosphere didn't match the festivity that was decked all around. I do have to add that my husband enjoyed his meal, so maybe it was my choices  ‍  Parking: More parking at rear of Parrot.

Great place for food and drink, food is excellent, we had 2 Steaks and  Sunday dinner , finished off with 2 scoops of ice cream each , all very tasty , nicely presented,  staff very efficient and friendly , can most certainly recommendFood: 4/5

This is our second visit and we were not disappointed. I had the best fillet steak I have eaten ever, and perfectly cooked medium rare. The extended eating area at the back was really lovely too.

Came in with my boyfriend recently as we were hungry. We ordered a drink, spoke to the barmaid about food then looked at a menu. When we sat down to order food a woman treated us like convicts from a local jail. She was so rude we just left. Your staff either need training or refreshing contractually. We were really upset. There were about 6 people in the restaurant at the time non of whom were ordering food.

Really good well priced food ,especially with the weekday discount. Excellent pint of beer. Can't understand why it was not a lot  busier.Food: 5/5

Lovely little place, very cosy and relaxing.  Service was excellent as was the food.  Will definitely return.

Lovely meal-out after restrictions eased lockdown 3.0. Outdoor tables were well spaced and we were on a wooden picnic table under a marquee with cute fairy lights. No heaters or blankets provided so bring lots of layers, but so worth it. Incredible quality food... we will be back! In particular the 2 starters- scallops and pig cheek were delicious. The duck for main was lovely, although peppercorn sauce was quite strong for the delicate meat.  Can't recommend this place enough, thank you.
