My first visit here. Lovely surroundings, a great selection of delicious food. The fruit scone I ordered was absolutely huge!! The coffee was lovely too. Would definitely visit again and will recommend to my friends Food: 5/5
Great reasonably priced food. Lovely open cafe, indoor and outdoor seating. Good for social distancing. Great breakfast menu, egg and mushroom on toast and sausage and egg bap... went down well. Coffee is not so great, bitter and burnt. Airport coffee I'd call it. But apart from that everything else was great, I'd highly recommend paying a visit. Very crowded during summer months, so get there early. Friendly staff.
Great to see a place working well with all the current issues around lack of staff in the hospitality sector. The staff were right on with sanitising tables etc, nice and polite etc. The food and drinks came out in really good time, which I wasn't expecting it was semi busy and we had some much longer waits in places locally that were a lot less busy! Food was good, a little pricey, but c'est la vie, it's holiday season! And it was worth the money to be honest.
Lovely cafe, come here regularly for a full English breakfast and it never disappoints! Staff are ok but not very friendly, a couple however are extremely lovely. They have really lovely food and would highly recommend if you're in the local area, opening early on Sundays is always a bonus and there's large amounts of parking especially pay & display car park on the left just past or on the main road. This gets really busy during the touristy summer months though of course!
Just stopped here for a cup of tea. Ordering was at the counter and had to queue a short while to get served. It was a busy Sunday afternoon. Once order has been placed, tea was served quickly. Sat outside overlooking the lake. There is a charity shop within the same building with a large array of items from vintage to modern. Very interesting to look around.
Had a lovely brunch of poached egg and haddock. Only complaint was portion was bit small and could have benefited from small piece of bread for egg and tomato juice. Otherwise coffee great and good quick service even though they were busy.Food: 5/5
It's a great place to relax and enjoy a cuppa and cake. They had an enlarged selection of drinks available over the Christmas period, which included a delicious Baileys hot chocolate topped with cream that I'd highly recommend!Food: 5/5
Had a lovely lunch today staff were very friendly and helpful really good choice of lovely things to wet your appetite
A really nice place for a pit stop. Love the ambiance and the cakes are really yummy. Definitely go for a bite would recommend and with the meare, emporium, and duck pond what more do you need.
Nice food but one server was incredibly rude to me when I asked for my takeaway sandwich saying she had been calling me "for ages", the place was pretty quiet so she can't have been calling very loud! Then plonked it down in front of me, I wasn't rude so a little bit of manners wouldn't go amiss hereFood: 4/5
