Divine smoked fish. A full range of smoked fish to take home for dinner or as ‘takeaway’. We tried the smoked king prawns and they didn’t make it past the first picnic bench; absolutely delicious. The smoked salmon made it home to complement some home baked bread, just perfect.Food: 5/5

This is a shack where one buys fish. It is mainly smoked, but this is quite light. The noon pie is absolutely to die for. think omelette Arnold Bennett in a pie formFood: 5/5
We tried the smoked prawns, smoked mackerel and smoked herring. All excellent. Lightly smoke, great texture and flavour. Would certainly buy from here again. Shame we didn't have the cool box, so we couldn't buy more to take homeFood: 5/5
Popped in too late to try and get some crab. Instead, was offered a taste of a new herring pate, which was great. Opted for a salmon and trout pate and a recommended Noon Tart. What a find!! Both, but especially the tart made a delicious late supper. That tart is fantastic. Highly recommended.Food: 5/5
Buying from Ash Smoked fishes was great: the Noon pie and salmon and trout paté lived up to the great reviews, I tried a sampler platter too and realised I should have bought more. Customer service was great, not pushy. It seems true the smoking's light and the food's better for that. I've not bought seafood off the beach before but I'll be back for more. Realistically no place is perfect on all counts so I've not rated 5 stars across all categories, however this place is highly recommended and I'll be back myself!
Perfectly smoked salmon. Thick, tender slices of salmon, served by the beach on a beautiful day. Possibly the best smoked fish I've ever had. The flavour was delicate and not overly smokey, both the flavour of the fish and the smoke were evident with neither overpowering the other. It's a beautiful beach. Being able to relax and enjoy the surroundings, whilst eating great food, is an added bonus!
Absolutely phenomenal smoked fish - and I don’t like fish!! We visit regularly from London to buy - it’s simply the best smoked fish we’ve ever tasted. The prawns and garlic mayo, the hot smoked salmon, the cold smoked salmon - all incredible flavours and like I say, can’t stop eating it - which tells you something coming from a non fish lover! If only they delivered…please
Found this on a lovely day trip to Aldeburgh. Oh wow!! The selection on their counter is fantastic. Lots of choice. We had one of the sharing boxes which had a little bit of everything in. I can be fussy with my fish as opposed to my husband but I tried everything. All I can say is outstanding!! Especially the eel,pickled herrings salmon and tuna. Great value for money too. On the way back to the car we picked up some more fish to take home it was that good
Go here!!! Had the smoked fish selection box. If I could use expletives to describe how lovely it was, I would! You get a little taster of everything this local business makes. More than substantial enough for a hearty lunch. We went down the road to Thorpness to eat it and we were blown away by the quality and generosity. And what’s really incredible is the value. Honestly - £6.50 is insane. If you were at a nice seafood restaurant in London, you’d be paying £30 for this. No joke. It’s so good, I’d consider it a destination place.
