After visiting the palace, we were looking for food places and ended up at this one which is right next to the palace souvenir store. We were seated pretty quickly but had to wait very long for the order to be taken. Also had to call the waitress multiple times to bring water and obviously wait long for the food as well. Overall, it is just an alright experience but okayish menu and prices could be better valued. Wish the customer service was more friendly and inviting. Also the washroom was alright but glad they had one for everyone to use.
Don’t know how do we get here, I guess because they have cold Stella and Budweiser. Seems Like the Fish and chips were coming from Aldi, which was not bad. The service and attention weren’t the greatest. The beers at least were cold. They over priced our meal, so be aware. the environment inside is kinda of old, like it just freeze in the 70’s. Located nearby the Buckingham palace, and 300mts from Victoria.
Over priced food that is below average, ordered Strawberry milkshake and got strawberry milk. Weird best part of meal was the fries. Your best bet is to walk an additional block and eat somewhere else
Avoid at all costs. This place is an utter rip off. We popped in for a quick bite between Palace yours. I thought chips would be cheaper than a full meal so asked for 2 portions of chips for 3 of us to share. I was charged £21 for this a bottle of water a can ok coke and bottle of iced tea. The chip portions were literally minute. The staff were very rude and I feel totally robbed.
One of the better options given how close you are to Buckingham Palace and all the tourist spots. Decent breakfast/brunch and coffee with friendly staff.Food: 4/5
We were all hungry after walking around london. As soon as we stepped into the place, hadn't even sat down the lady asked us what we wanted to order . Asked for tap water, she refused and said she only has hot water even though its a legal requirement to have cold water. Asked where the toilet was, she then said, "no, order first". She then proceeds to tell us we can only have bottled water which we payed £3 for, absolute rip off. Food was alright, completely overpriced. Wouldn't recommend at all. £80+ for 3x fish and chips, 1x burger.
Run away from this place!!! 15 pounds for a teeny tiny beef and kidney pie that’s smaller than a bread roll, which they didn’t cook but only heated up. The pie has almost nothing inside. Lady/owner was extremely rude for paying customers.Recommended dishesSteak & Kidney Pie
terrible customer service, charged me 10% extra for "service" when it wasn't even that commendable. quite overpriced as had to pay £15 for food worth £5! the lady was quite rude and kept looking at my family and i while we ate, making us feel incredibly uncomfortable. the food was quite bland too. don't let the "london is expensive" rhetoric fool you because other places will give you more food for a cheaper price. in general, wouldn't recommend this place even on an empty stomach.
I think this place preys on tourist who needs to use the restroom so badly. When me and my wife came in, the old guy never said anything, that alone gave me a weird vibe, I thought its so rude. My wife was so hungry and needs to use the restroom after watching the Changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace,so we just took our chance. While waiting to get our orders taken, We noticed people going in and leave immediately, they are not as desperate as we are. the place was empty and we almost left because I had a bad feeling about this place already, after we already settled and used the restroom. we ordered 1 fish and chips soggy and oily and 2 teas, cost us 25£, I ask the rude lady how much is the tea, she said 4.50!!! we felt scammed! I have no idea why this place is still not shot down by food inspectors. I wish someone would report them. As a tourist we can't be bothered to call them.
Had to give a star to leave a review. Avoid this s***hole of a cafe, for it to be so close to Buckingham Palace is a disgrace. Anyone rating this higher than 1 star has mistaken it for another cafe. Female staff member would be better suited to the London dungeons with her customer service
