Lovely Sunday lunchtime meal. Good selection of mains and starters. Fishcakes were lovely and the chips are lovely. Very nice staff. Syrup pudding was really light and lovely. Lots not parking, not overly hot as some places can be. Busy so think possibly best to book at weekends.

Cracking place to go for a pint. The staff are very friendly and they have an interesting array of ales on rotation. Also keep an eye out for their live music nights.

Nice atmosphere. Good food, although doesn't have much choice for a vegetarian. I might not be tempted for another visit because of that.

It looks like a tea rooms from the outside which has meant it is a real hidden gem as people do not tend to stop and give it a try.
I first discovered it after a Golf Society day when the meal after was at the Owls. I have become a regular visitor ever since and indeed introduced many friends to the place that like me never thought of stopping. At the bar you will find friendly locals enjoying real ale and a gossip (possibly I will be one) However you will find many more customers enjoying the Home Cooking style menu in the restaurant area. My personal favorite is the Steak and ale pie and if they have it apple crumble for Pud.
In Short its a real pub just like in the old days before they invented Witherspoons and real pubs started to close.
Not Kid Friendly at all, its a older persons place to come and relax. If you have Kids go to the Horns virtually next door.

Delicious home made food, great roasts and an excellent steak pie. It's like stepping back in time.
