I wish I could give lower than a 1 star! I hope this review stops some poor family ordering from this shambolic restaurant! I honestly wished we have looked at the reviews on this place before we placed our order…. Our mistake. First of all… it took an hour and a half to receive our order. We ordered a mushroom fu young, which came and was basically half a portion. See photo attached. We also ordered a chicken curry and specifically requested no vegetables in it. The dish came and was a beef/pork curry, full of vegetables. All I can say on that front is mistakes happen… and we would have been quite happy with a correction delivered as soon as possible. However upon ringing the restaurant, we spoke with the receptionist and then the manager, who were so unhelpful and rude. When I said to the receptionist you have sent us a beef curry instead of chicken, she replied “well I didn’t, I didn’t make it!” Never have I spoken to someone so rude. We were then passed to her manager who basically offered us 10% off our next order which wouldn’t even cover the cost of a replacement dish! or a replacement sent out to us but we would have to pay the delivery driver! They would not refund the dish cost we didn’t receive either! They also stated that they had no proof we have received the wrong dish… I explained that I had taken photos, to which she laughed. Never have I dealt with a food establishment so shambolic. If there were issues with food or staffing or being generally busy…. Fine…. But to refuse to correct your mistake, unless at the customers expense, to be rude and to offer no way of acknowledgment or apology is down right dreadful.. and I plead with you all… do not order from there!
I spent £53 stupidly Chips were like rock. Curry had more mushrooms than meat. Ribs were all fat and no meat. Special rice and noodles only had chicken in. Will never order from here again Very disappointed
Bamboo Chinese Takeaway Ferndown. Chicken Fried Rice had very strange smell to it, couldn't eat it, awful. Phoned them they offered me refund. Sometimes food OK but very hit and miss. Would not recommend. Staff said they been busy. Disappointed
Absolutely stunning chinese, i ordered and all thought it took 40 minutes to arrive. It was a weekend and it was absolutely worth it. I ordered on the phone and the girl who answered, must have only been a teenager, was so professional and just a pleasant person to speak to. The portion of rice and noodles are larger than your average chinese, after some excellent starters e.g., the crispy prawn toast and beautiful spring rolls i was highly satisfied with the flavouring that came with my Thai curry. The bag came perfectly packed and i was so pleased to see the pancakes with my duck as most chinese places forget them! Overall, if you don’t go to bamboo then you’re stupid. It’s absolutely exquisite
Tastes really good, quick delivery and well priced
Really disappointed we have ordered from here for over 3 years. We were delivered the incorrect dishes and told it was not there problem and they could only offer 10% off the next order. We asked if they could just deliver the order we placed and if we wanted our order resent we also needed to pay again. I wouldn’t recommend this takeaway and wish we had read the recent reviews before placing the order. Really unprofessional takeaway.
No stars!!! Yes, I wish I had looked at the reviews - worst Chinese I have had! It was so disappointing in quantity and quality. The chicken sweet and sour balls were stringy bits of chicken in a soggy glaze and the special rice just had 2nd hand bits of dried up meat in it. It didn't help that it was barely warm on delivery. Terrible experience never to be repeated!!
Very poor, king prawn balls were burned and 1cm of oil in the bottom of the bag. Crispy duck was slimy duck. Satay chicken was congealed mess and beef in house noodles with gravy was to hard to chew. A complete waste of my £37. Have always been a bit hit and miss but this has convinced me not to order from here again.
Absolutely shocking!!! STAY CLEAR!! Half size portions, flavourless food and way over priced! This is the worst Chinese I've ever had which I'm sorry to say as its my local one! Been using Li"s takeaway for a long time and thought I'd try Bamboo as it's closer.... Bad move! The quality of the food is just not good enough I'm afraid!!
Have been ordering for years and always good food. Tonight however it was disgusting, ordered food over £70. All the food was gross. Chicken chow mein had burnt black bits in it like burnt pan, both curries we ordered which was chicken and beef was a weird texture and looked really gloopy,tasted horrible too. Special fried rice wasn't special at all, hardly any thing in it apart from rice. Egg fried rice was stuck together and tasted like cardboard, chicken and cashew nuts tasted gross,full of carrots and little else. Phoned the restaurant to ask why the food has changed so drastically and they couldn't care less. No apology or money back. So we will never order again from here. which is a shame as they used to be amazing. Not anymore. Avoid
