Visited today for the Sunday carvery and we were not disappointed. The place has been transformed into a cosy friendly restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the service was excellent. Just what the area needs, very reasonably priced too which is a huge bonus and great quality food. We will definitely return, the main menu looks great and we are very tempted by the steak night too. Kid-friendliness: Although we didn’t have children with us, the table next to us did and the lovely man who was taking their order cleaned down a black board and gave her some chalk to draw with, was such a lovely thing to do. Parking: Lots of parking in the large car park.
Called in for lunch, service was slow due to only 1 person serving & 1 chef working. Staff very friendly & food very good.Food: 4/5
Had a fabulous three course lunch today, friendly staff and fantastic food. Thank you for your hospitality, we will return very soon. Thanks again StephFood: 5/5
Can’t get enough of this place, not only is the atmosphere so warm and cosy, with lots of private areas to sit, the staff are excellent, very attentive, they are extremely customer focused, we’ve been there a couple of times now and they remember which wine we like etc. The food has been incredible every time we’ve eaten there, we’ve had steak, which was cooked to perfection, ribs, carvery, couldn’t fault the food! They were brilliant with our kids, brought out colouring, helped us with high chairs plus I’ve noticed an excellent level of service they provided towards a very elderly couple, they moved tables to make it more accessible for them etc. It’s become our favourite place for a meal or just a nice drink out in an inviting atmosphere!
Nice large pub with rear pub garden. Good pub food and friendly staff. Nice "proper pie" encased in pastryFood: 4/5
First time since reopened Food is amazing Burgers homemade are so filling Homemade chicken pie actually filled with proper chunks of meat Thank the team for lovely meal
Lovely roast let down by being a bit cold but quickly sorted by the staff. I would definitely go again. Vegetarian options: A vegetarian Wellington or just the vegetables is available for the roasts
Food was top draw and the staff were really amazing will be going back again
Don't normally give bad reviews. But this was not good, Aunt Bessie would have done better. Sunday roast not good. Nothing like pictures on website. No stuffing and one rather flat soggy Yorkshire. Watery bland cabbage, yum! Cold food. Not worth stopping.
Lovely carvery and staff! Will definitely be back soon.
