Story

Welcome to The Old Shire Inn, we are a large carvery restaurant just outside of Camborne, Cornwall.

We offer a wide variety of fresh seasonal dishes, from light salads in the Summer to hearty stews to keep you warm in Winter. With its cosy, friendly atmosphere, our restaurant and bar are perfect for socialising with family and friends, or simply enjoying a quiet drink by yourself next to the open fire.


We are open seven days a week, serving lunch and dinner with a Carvery running every evening and Sunday lunch times.

Ate here last August and returned again today whilst spending time here over Easter. On holiday from Leicester. Amazing food and staff! So busy today (Easter Sunday)! A very popular place to eat 😁

One of the nicest carveries for the price point. Generous. Their puds are good if you like them cold and creamy but they often run out of hot puds. The staff are generally very friendly. Lovely place to take family and they are accomodating to small children.

Fantastic carvery! Really improved over the years, great food, nice atmosphere, amazing cakes. Good prices to boot.

Always busy especially evenings. Good food. Staff are sometimes learning on the job so can take longer. Good great carvery with all the trimmings, but also offers some seafood. The desserts look better than they actually taste. They look fantastic but several taste artificial and very sickly. Beautiful inn characteristic very old and beautiful countryside surroundings.
