Beautiful home and gardens, a few minutes walk from downtown and the main theatres. Lovely hosts and truly wonderful breakfasts.Rooms: 5/5
The hosts are the nicest people you’ll meet anywhere, great place to eat too as Kevin has worked as a chef in the top restaurants in Stratford and London UK, you’ll want to keep coming back .
Kevin and Kim are very gracious and accommodating hosts. The breakfasts are amazing in quality and variety. The room is very comfortable and well appointed. Wonderful stay!Rooms: 5/5
We were only in town for two days to see a show and do some shopping. The hosts made us feel very welcome and the room was beautifully appointed. We were close enough to everything we wanted to see that we did not have to drive. We sat out on the balcony attached to the room and overlooking the yard and shared a drink before bed. In the morning the dining area was set up with homemade jams and bread products. Once again the hosts were amazing and the food was great. I will return to the Old Rectory the next time we visit Stratford
Our group has been coming to the Od Rectory since 2000. Kim and Kevin do a magnificent job! Rooms are comfortable and immaculately clean. Breakfasts are marvelous with fresh fruit, special baked goods, home made jams, and great hot dishes... Today was waffles, yesterday cheese souffles. They take great care of their guests - helping with restaurant reservations, providing a lot of tea brewed from one of the two overly tea shops in town, and helping with the luggage from your car to room - and, sadly back again when it is time to leave. Location is in easy walking distance to all the theatres - we often don't drive the car for our entire visit. You can't pick a better place in Stratford.
Wonderful return visit. In our travels, we rarely return to the same place, as there are always more to discover. The Old Rectory is an exception--we've have been enjoying the great hospitality for years. Kevin and Kim have a way of making you feel you are visiting old friends who serve delicious food and live in a superb home. From the delicious coffee and home made spicy cookies that greeted our arrival, to the peaceful garden full of flowers to savour a post-theatre glass of wine, to the delicious breakfast, and the pots of 'Irish Kiss' marmalade we bring home, it was all delightful. Thank you
This is the place to be when visiting Stratford!!! It is within walking distance of the business section of town, and most of the theaters. The breakfast is sublime and served with humor as well as a beautiful dining room to ear in. The rooms are comfortable and lovely to look at. A sitting room to read, relax, drink a beverage, or visit is also provided. The owners are the best of the best. Diane Foerster
Kevin and Kim are delightful and The Old Rectory is charming! Breakfasts were the best I've ever had at a B&B. The location is perfect - within easy walking distance of town and the theaters. Could not recommend more highly!Rooms: 5/5
very cool place to have a lunch. The building has n=been well preserved. Food and service is great. Right acvross for the Studio Theatre with a nice patio to have a drink on with or without food. Check first though as it is sometimes closed for private gatherings. Great spot for snmallwer weddings or coerporate gatherings or even a large frind party. Highly recommended
The ne plus ultra of hospitality. We and a large group of friends & family who are Stratford Festival addicts have been coming to The Old Rectory one week every year since Kim & Kevin Gormley opened for business. They are extraordinary hosts. The location is prime. The atmosphere comfortable and home-like.
