Hadn't visited the old original in a few years but decided on a trip there recently. It has been modernised and has a more restaurant feel now than a pub, but still has a nice old fashioned feel to it. The service and food were excellent and I would give it 4 stars if they had the real fire lit! It was a bit chilly and a good fire would have been very welcome. Overall, well worth a visit.

Very pleasant restaurant with a pub atmosphere. Friendly staff, good menu, generous portions, good quality food and good value. The only slight problem is the small car park, so you may have to park some way away on the street.

Fabulous pub and great food and service. If I could make a recommendation, a decent ice bucket would be nice.

Excellent food, service is good with friendly staff. Would highly recommend, however, you do need to book in advance.
