Under new management. Very friendly staff & landlady. Warm locals very helpful. The rag pudding was exceptional, Cheif knows what he’s doing. Even had decent Gluten free menu for my mum. Could do with a few more hand pump beers but they will come I think.
I went with a friend and my daughter tonight for the re-opening of the pub and I was not disappointed.nnI’ve not been to The Three Crowns for well over ten years, and after my visit tonight, I won’t leave it so long in the future.nnFor an opening night the service was great, the food was spot on. The pub is lovely inside and has a warm feel to it. Good value for money too.nnThe new head chef had come from Salt in Uppermill who recently was awarded an AA Rosette and the quality of the food can’t be argued with.nnThey had a great gluten free menu and I didn’t feel like I was getting after thoughts for dishes which can happen.nnSee you again soon.
Excellent Sunday roast dinner for 6 this evening. Visited after a recommendation from a friend and wasn't disappointed. The menu is a choice of roasts on Sunday, all of which were wonderful, complimented by a choice of fabulous starters. The food was fresh, tasty and plentiful, we never made it to the dessert menu! It's a set price for 2 or 3 courses and we felt it was good value for money. The new owner is obviously doing things really well as the restaurant was full all evening. Can't wait to try the midweek menu.
The Lads on Tour came full circle back to the as it's under new ownership & what a refreshing change! Everyone agreed that the food was excellent! I had the lasagne, which was the size of a breeze block & better than Charlie Bigham's. Although did lack chips & peas, if you're fussy but no harm in ordering as an addition. Jodie new Landlady is lovely & very accommodating, as was the Barmaid. Who was very friendly, helpful & attentive. Sure we'll all rotate back to here at some stage in the future on our travels! Thanks !
Very delious well seasoned food. Slow cooked lamb. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Service excellent
