I've been coming to the Old Manor for about 18 months & generally have found the food to be good. However, I've noticed over the past few months that standards have started to slip. I see from one of the reviews below that there has been a change of management & perhaps this is the reason for the decline. Waiting time for food has increased even when it's not particularly busy.  Meals arrive with items missing from the plate. Onions on sizzling plates have been virtually raw, & when asking on a subsequent visit for them to be well done they have arrived so well done they were inedible - one extreme to the other. On more than one occasion we have been unable to get food because of equipment failure & have had to go elsewhere. Cutlery doesn't always appear to be clean, & I'm not just talking about watermarks that are left from being in a dishwasher. On one occasion they had even run out of paper napkins. The final straw could possibly be this weekend. A friend phoned on Friday to try & book a table for Saturday & either nobody answered the phone or when leaving a message we didn't receive a phone call back. I'm really disappointed as I have enjoyed coming here, but sadly unless standards return to what they used to be we will take our custom elsewhere.

Nice in the summer months, as they have a large beer garden which is a bit of a suntrap, but other than that it's a basic, bogstandard chain-type pub.
Staff are friendly and polite, but there never seem to be enough staff behind the bar therefore service can be quite slow as the one member of staff serves behind the bar whilst attempting to serve tables at the same time.
The food; it is what it is, really. Mediocre at best. Nothing wrong with it, and they do have some very economical weekday deals, but it's pub grub and you get what you pay for.

Dirty toilets, dirty floors and carpets. Tables not cleared quickly. Food was average, steak over cooked, some items of food missing, the peas looked about 5 hours old... 
Apparently now under new management, fingers crossed it improves as this could be a great pub.

Stopped off for a quick drink after a walk. Didn't eat any food, but it looked nice. Good choice on the menu. Pub/restaurant looked generally clean and tidy and staff were friendly. Will go back some time to try the food.

First visit to this pub, food and staff excellent though would have preferred condiments to be on the table in containers rather than having to collect in sachets from the dresser. Will definitely go again.
