Story

My name is Rick and I am the landlord of the Old Hall Hotel in Hope. I took over the hotel in April 2010. We have transformed the Old Hall and the service you will receive. My aim is to provide a relaxed atmosphere for family and friends to eat and drink with comfortable accomodation.

We offer all your favourite classic pub meals from our experienced chefs using fresh ingredients and also have a variety of specials with a twist. We also have a tea room where you can enjoy breakfasts, a quick bite for lunch or afternoon tea and coffee. You must try our famous Old Hall Hotel Derbyshire Breakfast! The tea room can be hired for a special occasion with a variety of options catering for your needs.

Please do come and visit us for a meal, drink or stay in one of comfortable bed and breakfast rooms. You can always be sure of a warm welcome at the Old Hall Hotel in Hope, Peak District.

Went here for High Tea experince, was amazing!n*You have to book in advance*nSmall Tea room place, however very cosy and rustic feel to it.nThe staff were friendly and hosted us the entire time.nWe had a diary allergy within our family to which they accommodated to very well.nThe Sandwiches, scones and Tea were absolutely delicious - you can tell they made this all fresh and in house.nI would recommend :
Stayed here on our final night of a 3 day walk in the area. Staff were hard working albeit seemed tired from a long Easter break dealing with guests. Very charming and cozy decor. The room was adequate and clean. The mattress was very saggy and soft and from the time we checked in to when we finally complained we were subjected to heavy metal music coming from the kitchen along with a loud extractor fan right outside our room. The music was turned down after we requested but continued until 9:30 or so. The toilet in our room also had a very loud flush. The pub is located on a fairly busy and fast road. It's possible the other rooms not over the kitchen were more pleasant. Breakfast was great. Excellent coffee and delicious and large portions held in a cozy side room off the main pub. Overall I might give it another chance but wouldn't eagerly return.
Absolutely incredible would definitely recommend.nEasily the best roast I've had in a long time maybe even the best roast dinner I've had out in general.nThe whole meal was incredibly full of flavour and everything tasted homemade, the beef had slices ranging in rareness, the potatoes were incredible. I was pleased to find that it came with parsnips and cabbage as when I make my own roast I always make sure to include these but not many restaurants will.nAs well as this, they were incredibly dog friendly and my dog was treated so well and got a lot of affection and treats.
A day out on the motorbikes. The old hall cafe/ tea room at the side of pub was our 1st stop of the day for breakfast.nWe all had the Derbyshire breakfast.nWas very filling and decent value for money.nWould definitely be a place to return to.
Great food and extremely dog friendly. Had the roast which was fully packed and delicious. They also where the most dog friendly pub I've been in, even giving our little pup some roast beef, so kind. Would definitely recommend, great local pub vibe.
