I used to come here as a kid years ago and i loved it. Admittedly i don't visit much nowadays because I'm too lazy to walk but after visiting recently I must say it's still pretty awesome. It's obviously changed quite a bit but so have I 😀 It now seems a bit more classy than it was and even though we were only there for a bit it seems to have "character". Definitely will be returning a lot quicker than last time.

Recently held a gathering here in memory of a dear friend. The staff were lovely. Everyone commented on the catering as being excellent, a very nice room/venue all together made the sad day a lot brighter.

I like Thornbridge and I like what they're trying to do with their pubs in Sheffield. This isn't their first large pub (The Greystones is equally cavernous) but for some reason, it has the least cohesive identity across its 4 rooms. There isn't really anything wrong here, but the energy hovers somewhere between 'local pub' and 'social club', not quite managing to reconcile the two. A perfectly nice, friendly place where you can get good beer, but of the Thornbridge Pubs in Sheff, it's probably the last I'd visit, despite being the closest.

nice pub just a shame the beer is surved in hot glasses spoils a good ale

I usually love this place but unfortunately they allow their staff to come in when they aren't at work to scream and argue for hours, mess about behind the bar and cause people to leave. Such a shame you guys hired such an immature person. You have to understand that locals recognise off-duty staff when they're acting like idiots, and if he was acting in this way as a guest in any other establishment he would be asked to leave.
