NOT GOOD AT ALL. AVOID! We were given a nights stay as a present for Christmas and when called to book, we told them that we wanted to stay a second night and we were told, do it on the day. When we arrived and were checking in we said the same thing, that we wanted to book a second night and we got told to do it in the morning. So, the following morning we requested to book the second night and got told, sorry we're fully booked! Piss well and truly taken. Too add to this, the bedside light didn't work meaning we had to have the main light on and get out of bed when we wanted it off again which wasn't a big issue but was an inconvenience. As well as that, the shower was aweful! No power and difficult temperature control. The worst thing about the room however, was the bed. Quilt was far too think meaning I had a difficult job of getting the window open to a point where it was not too hot, but not too cold. To make matters even worse, it was one of the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept in. We woke several times in the night and both woke up with a lot of back pain. All in all, not a good experience at all. However due to this, we were forced to look for another hotel to stay in for the second night, and we found the Cathedral Gate hotel. What an amazing place. Right in the city centre, amazing room (and shower) staff were great and went over and above to make our stay one to remember. If you are looking for a hotel in Canterbury, that is the one to go to.

Friendly staff, very welcoming and good food. Right next to the park and ride for Canterbury and 10 minutes drive to Howlets zoo.

Me and my Girlfriend stayed here on Friday night. The Pub itself was nice and we welcomed the free parking as we were driving down from London. For £70 for the night we weren't expecting much but in all honesty we were pretty disappointed. Without even looking we spotted mouldy curtains, mouldy paint in the bathroom and no free toiletries or drinking water in our room. I certainly wouldn't stay here again with my GF, maybe a group of lads would be fine. We were in room 10 incase that matters!
