Tiny museum on the high street, full of interesting history. The museum is based on the first floor with some really interesting papers, pictures and displays from the area. On the ground floor there are two prison cells showing life of the time.
Went for a candle lit tour before Christmas and had the place to ourselves . I learn something new every time i go there, its so interesting.. the whiskey marmalade was out of this world. If you haven't visited put it on your list of things to do.

Beautiful Museum and Court House nestled in Pevensey, East Sussex. It's run by a team of professional volunteers who are friendly and knowledgeable. A true 'find' for those who love history.
I have an interest in this place being a Volunteer and Trustee. We have visitors from UK and Overseas who sample a Medieval Court House and Gaol. It also tells the story of William of Normandys landing on the 28th Sept 1066, The Royal Charter 26th April1207preceeding Magna Carta by 8 years and much more. Free entry, well behaved dogs welcome. It is a true delight well worth a visit. I am biased therefore it is for visitors to place the star ratings.... We have had very good ratings check us out online
Amazing small local museum. Was a courthouse, prison & the smallest town hall in Britain. Run by local volunteers who are very informative. Museum holds one of the original seals from the Magna Carta.
Tiny museum in the former magistrates' court. Free! If you're lucky, you get to talk to a very interesting lady!
