About

A Geological Museum nestled in the heart of Anglesey

Story

Nestled in the heart of Anglesey, Stone Science is a hidden gem - both literally and figuratively.

What it lacks outwardly in grandeur, it more than makes up for in the richness of what you'll find inside. Whether your interest is crystals, fossils, rocks, dinosaurs or geology, you'll find everything you want in the Aladdin's Cave inside.

Adults and Children alike can spend hours wandering around the exhibits and the shop, learning from the owners, whose personal stories and anecdotes bring the whole place alive.

I'm sure you'll be drawn to return time and time again after your first visit.

Came across it accidently, I absolutely loved it, didn't get an opportunity to explore upstairs due to a screaming toddler of mine, my older two girls loved it, fascinating artifacts, more than I expected, it's not a generic museum, it's a place where someone has put all their passion into to, to share with everyone, so ye it's a bit dusty but add to its rustic prehistoric character. You can buy bones and gem stones to take home with you. Highly recommend, the guy who runs it was very friendly, the price includes a 2nd trip within two weeks, so if your Staying local you can go again at no extra cost

Massive collection of minerals and fossils. My son and daughter haven't stopped talking about it all holiday. It's not a big, posh museum, but makes up for it in personality and the owner is the friendliest, most fascinating man I ever met. Well worth the money just to talk to him.

Absolutely brimming With Stone's and Science. Fossils aplenty. Our 8 year old rated it best museum ever. Really friendly and helpful staff. Well worth a visit to have a dig around and you may find some hidden gems. ;-)
