The Old Castle Harvester

Exceptionally warm, welcoming & very friendly staff who made me feel so welcome and comfortable due to me dining alone. From the moment I arrived until the time I left, the staff were so attentive and looked after me from start to finish, plus the food was absolutely delicious, freshly battered cod & chips with mushy peas, piping hot too. This is a beautiful looking Restaurant with ample parking adjacent, I can't wait to return as I found it exceptionally good value for money & you also get free unlimited salad to help yourself to from the fresh salad bar.

Staff are so friendly and welcoming food is lovely. Great place for the whole family. (Just gutted they no longer serve boneless ribs.)

This for me is the best Harvester within easy travelling from where I live (the other two are not as good in terms of customer service, the staff being somewhat up their own botties, so take note especially Alder Hills in Poole. Your staff are paid to serve not judge). So we like to travel to this one. It's conveniently located just across the road from Old Sarum so we have a double excuse to jump in the car. At this Harvester, the food (which of course is from a brand wide standard menu), is consistently good. The staff are polite and provide an efficient service. It's well worth a visit. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because (as is often the case with Harvesters), they couldn't serve some items having run out of stock).

A nice simple harvester so you know what you're getting (down load the app for vouchers we got 40% off mains) a nice atmosphere but seemingly worth booking as it was a little busy even at 4pm on a Saturday. Food was well cooked and the salad bar was well stocked service was a little slow but as previously mentioned they were very busy. All in all a nice pub in a lovely location

If you've ever been to a Harvester then you'll know what to expect food wise. This place is no different apart from the great location. At the foot of the Old Sarum ancient hill fort and with good views over Salisbury from the beer garden. A nice place to eat excellent salad and grilled food at reasonable prices.
