Great Indian food. Probably my most favourite in Salisbury. They haven't got an Alcohol Licence though, you'll have to bring your own bottle of wine or tins of beer. Not a problem for me but I see it might be for some.
We come here 7 or 8 times a year. Great food, loads of options for meat eaters and vegetarians and friendly staff. The food can sometimes take a little longer, but with BYOB and a great atmosphere, it's never been an issue! Definitely worth a visit, but make sure to book at the weekend!
Bring your own drinks policy. However i found the food expensive and quality rather average. Great value if you intend to drink plenty, not so much if you are driving! Food took over an hour, i understand we were a group of 8, but the rest of the place was almost empty. Saw a lot of "just eat" deliveries going out, clearly they took priority.
AVOID! I ordered a Takeaway from them for the first time, advised 1 hour 15 minute wait. Food arrives an hour and 40 minutes later and freezing cold. Was told over the phone the best he can do is send the food out again, I said not to bother as I am not waiting another hour and 40 minutes as it was 21:30pm by the time we got the order in the first place. Absolute joke!
The food was great. The selection was amazing. I ordered a Balti but it was a bit gentrified, no Balti dish and pre cut nan bread. They don't sell alcohol which isn't a problem as there is a convenience store across the road. But only a sub-set of the soft drinks on the menu are available
Have had many deliveries, all within 40min and the food is just as good as the Shah Jahan which I thought were the best, but are a lot more expensive than this place. Best value for money curry house in Salisbury!
I have been enjoying indian food for 40 years and having recently moved into the Salisbury area I was desperate to find a good curry house. My meal of choice is a chicken tikka dansak or maybe a prawn dansak, I have had both from the Bangla Lounge and they have both been excellent! The staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you, I thoroughly recommend a visit, I will certainly be going back next week. The only thing they could do, something that has nothing to do with the food or the service, turn the lights down a little, the restaurant is a little bright.
Fantastic Indian, great service, good food, bring your own drink and the lighting was just right! Also very patient with a rowdy group of 20 something's! Would definitely go again.
Great choice of amazing tasting food, very reasonably priced and no service or corkage charge for you to bring your own alcohol. Always made to feel welcome.
Very poor quality food.... It was stale & had gone off... When we said this to the manager, he started making excuses saying it is supposed to taste like that. Now I am being Indian I know how the Indian food should taste like & I know when it goes off.... He was very rude.... Besides the food being pricey the quality was extremely below standards.... I wouldn't recommend anyone go to this place.
