They have done this place up nicely. New owners have got the food back up to scratch and the beer is well kept. You still have to fight for the comfy seats by the fire though 😁. Lots of nice comfy nooks to sit in and a lovely copper bar to sit at too.

Lovely, friendly and warm place. Clean and run by a good family. This is or local and we'd like it to start that way. Hopefully it won't be taken over by tourists....

Excellent selection of ales. Wonderful staff. Comfortable. With a lovely warm open fire in January. We'll be back.

Everything a good local pub should be! Welcoming staff - good beer selection / good food, and going through the winter a fantastic wood burner that is hard not to want to be near for a catch up with friends and family. Highly recommended!

Called in for a meal and drink after the Christmas lantern procession. Lovely atmosphere and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Food was very tasty (mains and deserts) and the wine was excellent as well. Would thoroughly recommend this pub and will definitely return soon.
