I would normally give a good rating however, in this occasion it was not the case. We ordered a tea and coffee and 2 tea cakes. The young girl repeated the order and we received the drinks and eventually chased the food only to be told they did not know about the food. Very annoying as the drinks were finished by that time. There were a few other issues on tables so Maybe it was just an off day but they really should have done better and I only hope that when I go back which I will, the service has improved.
I've tried to get a bite to eat here a couple of times when we came in Summer but it was too busy. Managed to find a quiet day recently. We loved it. My wife isn't a fan of Last of the Summer Wine but loved the experience. 3 other couples in the café at the time and we saw them doing the sites throughout the afternoon. All commented on how nice the food/coffee was at Sid's café. Its nothing fancy but it good and wholesome. Inexpensive too and all in keeping with what you'd expect. We'll be back again. Lovely bit of nostalgia for fans of the show.
I love it nAn absolute legend of TV history. With the sun beaming and smiling from everyone, it was great. The little courtyard was a joy. Parking around the centre of Holmfirth is sparce, so you have to be quick to find one and possibly pay for a while longer as there is loads to see and explore. We will be back to Holmfirth...
A visit to Sid's Cafe here in lovely Holmfirth is an absolute must for all fans of the BBC TV longest running sitcom, 'Last of the Summer Wine.' I had a nice cup of tea, bought some super TV 'Summer Wine' character postcards and soaked up the rather special atmosphere of this very unique place! Nice, friendly staff and a very interesting and memorable picture and photographs display from this classic TV show. Thank-you. Loved it! Not to be missed!
A delightful little cafe famous for its appearance in the classic comedy..nLast of the summer wine..nMany references to the series and the cast are on the walls inside and I loved looking around the café as we sat and had a coffee..nSeats are available inside and out but are very limited so it may be difficult to get when it's busy so please be aware that there is a seating area around the back of the cafe also ..nStaff are all very friendly and welcomingnSo we very much enjoyed our visit
