So pleased to see the this lovely cafe/ restaurant open again after a fire caused damage to their building earlier in the year. This place is a real holmfirth hem and definitely worth a visit. The interior design is stylish and Cosy with some fun quirks like the toilets. And like a few other places in holmfirth dogs are welcome as well as kids. The menu is extensive and changes throughout the day. The breakfast menus has everything from your British classics to American waffles (more about them later) and I recommend their potato rosti as an alternative to hash brown. I popped in for lunch last week and had a lovely prawn and avocado sandwich which was beautifully made with a choice of breads, the kids went for the waffles. These are made properly from scratch and come with a range of beautiful toppings. The kids chose wild berries and cream. The presentation of these is so pretty. Now we get to the really quirky bit. This place has a small cinema! And they will rent it out to party groups offering birthday/ special event meals and a movie. They will design a menu to your requirements. They also show films during the holmfirth film festival. Now if your disabled like me you will never be able to make it in in a wheelchair. But if like me you can walk a short distance with a stick it is possible to park at the bus station car park and walk across the road. But again their is a cobbled steep ginnel to contend with so get someone to help you!

The whole experience was superb, from the greeting and drinks on arrival through to coffee. Jane and her team looked after our every need. The food was amazing, the staff were friendly, polite and attentive and the wine list covered all tastes. And you don't have to break the bank to eat here. The pigeon starter was a real highlight!

Found this obscure bar/cafe today, tucked away up a small alley in Holmfirth, and I have to say that they served possibly the biggest and best Club Sandwich that I have ever eaten. It was made from locally sourced ingredients and thick cut granary bread. Friendly and attentive staff were so helpful and had absolutely no problems arranging a gluten free sandwich for my Coeliac wife. This place is an absolute gem of a find and I am really looking forward to returning for more.

Fantastic place, we love coming here. The food is fantastic and staff are really welcoming. You can't go wrong going there.
