We’ve welcomed a staggering selection of greats from Bob Hope, Louis Armstrong and The Beatles, to the Two Ronnies, Bruce Forsyth, Cliff Richard & Judy Garland. This proud tradition has continued since joining the LW Theatres family, with headliners as diverse as Adele, Madonna, Ricky Gervais, Bob Dylan, Coldplay, Whoopi Goldberg, Billy Ocean & Dita Von Teese. Nice theatre, steeped in history. Great bar and good amenities. The theatres seats about 2.5k people, and there is seating on three tiers. All seating has a pretty good view of the stage. The seats are a bit small, though. I'm 6'3" 193cm, and my legs touched the seating in front of me. The width of the seating was also very tight. This might not affect everyone but worth noting if you are taller than average. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, making our visit very pleasant.
We went to the London Palladium with friends the other day to watch The Blue Man Group. The show was OK, quite entertaining, but more geared towards children then adults. The drumming and pipe-drumming was amazing - but some of the stunts and skits too far too long to come to fruition especially with children's shortened attention spans these days. I think the screen that they used could have been twice as big, to help those on higher areas see what was going on below - a lot of action went on in the stalls that we in the Royal Circle couldn't see. The seats were very comfortable - fairly priced for a London show. So no issues there. I didn't use the loo, but our friends did and they said the men's was definitely in need to refurb. Yes, it's an old building, but it must make enough money to keep going year after year. Keep a few pennies back from the 'lovies' and directors and put it into the building fund. The building is beautiful - let's keep it that way. If you've got kids aged 7 through 12 it is a must. All the kids around us loved it. So, all-in-all, a 5 out of 5 - as I can't give it a 4.5 here.
When debating which show to see in London, a ticket sale on TodayTix caught my eye. My friend & I treated ourselves to a private box for the first time, as tickets were only £30 each! The staff were so lovely and helpful, the theatre was well maintained and very clean even the toilets, and the show was one I’ll never forget. Definitely will be returning soon!
A beautiful, historical theatre in the heart of London. The seats in the stalls are comfortable, with a great view of the stage. There are plenty of toilets to accommodate the audience, and the bar is reasonably priced for a London venue.
This fabulous theatre never disappoints. Well organised, with great facilities, it is historic as well as staging the most memorable shows. We saw "Hello Dolly" - marvellous sound and seating. Just go.
Excellent service for the handicapped. Easy to get great seats at the last minute. Seats were comfortable and view was fine. Don’t sit too close as the stage is high. The show was terrific. Hello Dolly.
Enjoyed our visit to the London Palladium to see Hello Dolly found cheap tickets £18pp - grand circle. Found the service and atmosphere very good overall. Staff were very helpful. Arrived just as the show was about to begin and it was helpful to be on end seating. It must be said that the seat was a VERY tight squeeze for my family member being 6”4. Didn’t order at the bar so no comment on that. Lots of stairs. Clean toilets both ladies and gents. Theatre located just off Regent’s Street and plenty of food places in the area. Photos taken are from our seats - grand circle.
Wow! What a beautiful theatre. It always appears huge on TV, but it's actually a lovely size with great views. We're going back again at the end of October.
Great Theatre lovely character and history. Went on a backstage tour and went underneath the stage, saw where Bruce Forsyth and Des O Connor are laid to rest. All the costumes for Hello Dolly. Cinderella bar with a tribute to Tommy Steele and a bust of Bruce Forsyth. Went in the VIP lounge, where the special guests get to come. Saw the wall of fame. Had tea and cake in the Val Parnall bar. The staff are so lovely and helpful and friendly. Harry our tour guide was so informative and James was so helpful getting us through all the doors and steps of the building. Also saw Hello Dolly with Imelda Stratton and she was brilliant and amazing actress. Great seats the front row of the circle. Easy to get to right near Oxford Circus Tube and near the buses in Oxford Street.
Great show, BUT having to walk through a busy bar to get to your seats is a pain and the seats on the balcony are the most narrow and uncomfortable I have ever sat in sadly. I'm 5ft 8 and my knees were touching the seat in front , when they moved my knees got crushed it was the longest most uncomfortable 90 minutes of my life so I won't be going to see another show there again unfortunately. Having said that, the staff were very helpful.
