"The Navy Inn, just off Penzance Promenade is a pub & restaurant with fine food at its heart. The Navy is an old pub with bare floorboards and a traditional bar, whilst also having relaxed yet stylish dining areas. With an informal and very friendly atmosphere where you can go in for just a beer, sit around with cups of coffee and read the papers, snack on single course or have a full 3 course meal. The menu offers a delicious mix, with lots of local seasonal produce while at a price that represents really good value for money and less than a lot of other pub restaurants now charge. All the dishes are presented beautifully but the taste of each dish we hope will make you return again & again."

What a lovely pub just of the seafront at Penzance. Would advice to book as the food is absolutely fantastic. The staff on the day were fantastic 2 lovely ladies behind the bar who went out of the way to help. Will definitely be going back.
Usually I don't post too many reviews however I felt I absolutely had to for this Little Gem of a place due to the great experience I had! I had already been past on a few occasions during my stay at Penzance, it was definitely a popular venue without a doubt, busy every night I went past on the way back to my hotel on the Promenade and during my visit tonight I could see why. The Navy Inn situated right near the Promenade was very inviting and had a lovely homely feel to it, felt very welcomed by the staff, I decided to have the Fish & Chips, this came in great time and I personally felt the price was reasonable, the Fish was definitely Fresh and it tasted lovely, the size was slightly small however this I felt was reflected in the price and I honestly did not mind that as it is definitely about Quality more than Quantity especially if you're eating out! The Chips were also fresh, they had some Skin left on them, however I did not mind this at all as I felt it made the Chips better and they too tasted lovely! They had a really nice selection of drinks on the bar such as Korev Cornish Lager, Rattlers Cornish Cloudy Cider amongst others such as Carlsberg, Thatchers, San Miguel etc.. There was definitely a nice variety. I went for the Korev and Rattlers, I would definitely have them again! This place is definitely inviting for all members of the Public, I saw a couple with a lovely dog, also saw a family that had reserved a table next to me and they too all seemed to really enjoy themselves! The Bar Staff Abbie & Stuart were absolutely lovely and had a great sense of humour, I really appreciated your hospitality! I had not felt this relaxed in a Warm and Lovely Independent Pub in a very long time and would absolutely recommend it to everyone I know should they stay at Penzance/Cornwall at anytime! Overall if you're looking for somewhere in Penzance for something to eat during your stay whether you are a Tourist or if you are a Local, Please visit The Navy Inn! Absolutely enjoyed my time here and would definitely visit here again should I return to Cornwall! Support Local & Independent Businesses! We all need each other during this day and age!
Great locals pub in the centre of Penzance. Friendly service and delicious food. Perfect for proper unfussy pub grub and an excellent Sunday roast
Very tasty food, amazing staff friendly atmosphere. Thank you chef for the special dish for our son. We really loved everything and we will definitely visit again
Agree with others - simply, is lovely place. I dropped in for just a tea and that was an interlude pleasant enough to stay in the memory. There's the pub itself, then the details - tea in a pot which was just right. Working locally, dropped-in for a meal before driving home and that too was good. Beer there good. A "just right" place, all-in-all.
Fantastic. We had a great meal, cooked perfectly, very good quality and plenty of it? and served with such a nice attitude. Thank you to the staff for being so calm, polite, friendly, patient and accomodating and the pub has a nice atmosphere too. So really good value all round.
Amazing food, thank you for a great chef. Pet friendly pub, popular with locals
We were looking for somewhere to eat on the Sunday before the last bank holiday in august but nowhere could accommodate us being a group of 10 or weren’t doing food that day. Stumbled across the navy inn and they were happy to accommodate us before a large party were arriving later, hosts were fantastic and the roast dinners were incredible and very reasonably priced even the kids meals were amazing. Will definitely be returning again when on holiday in Penzance
I'm not one for leaving reviews, but one of the best Sunday Roasts I've ever had and amazing dessert. Staff were great, meal was great, good sorts inside the pub, hidden little gem in Penzance. 100% recommend heading here.
Absolutely amazing food! The fish and chips was the best battered fish I've ever had, not too greasy, and just a nice thin coating of batter. The bean chilli is superb too. Good selection of ales Really friendly, welcoming, attentive staff
