Travelled down from Birmingham for a family occasion & stayed overnight at The Navigator.
There was some redecorating/refurbishment going on in the bar area but this was not a problem. 
My single room was very clean, well presented & very comfy. With hairdryer, iron & board, tea & coffee making facilities & television. Shower, wash basin & toilet were spotless & towels were freshly laundered.
My evening meal & breakfast, were excellent.
Staff were friendly & helpful.

We stayed at The Navigator to be close to family and friends over the Christmas and New Year holidays, and found everything was absolutely to our satisfaction. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean. The bathrooms appear to be newly done as well. The pub itself is fairly standard with a normal selection of beers and wines and pleasant decor, but where it shines is really with the food. The steak and chunky chips are recommended. All in all, The Navigator proved to be a no-frills gem, and a great little spot to relax between our social commitments.

We stopped off for lunch. Large car park. The restaurant was a nice clean tidy, light and airy place with plenty of space. I had smoked ham, egg and chips. Very tasty served by friendly staff. Very reasonable prices. Dogs allowed in the bar
