Just came to Chichester to drop our daughter back to uni. Needed somewhere to eat and the Nags Head was recommended. Perfect position as you can just park in the car park and walk straight into their back entrance. Sausage and Mash best we’ve ever had and a fish and chips which was equally as tasty!! What a great find, we’ll eat here each time we come down!! Lovely staff as well and very reasonable prices. THANKS!
Food was amazing, I had the carvery & have to say it's one of the best I've ever had! Then to make the meal even better I had cheesecake for dessert & that was fantastic too, so delicious & really different too. Great service, great atmosphere, lovely pub, would highly recommend to all
We had a delicious Carvery on Sunday, Meat beef was perfect. Nice selection of Veggies and yummy Yorkshire Pudding. Nice friendly family atmosphere all round great experience from meet and greet to paying bill and leaving, service was excellent. Thank you
Great service and fantastic food. We were looking for somewhere to have a quick bite and decided to try The Nag's Head. We parked in the carpark just at the rear entrance very convenient, but council owned, so there is a charge and liked the look of the pub/restaurant/carvery. Service was excellent, super friendly staff who were very attentive. We chose the BBQ Baby Back Ribs x2 and kids tomato & cheese pasta. Ribs were delicious, large portion, lots of meat and cooked well. Kids pasta was very well presented and loved by Belle aged 3.5. Overall a lovely visit and would definitely love a repeat visit.
While the food was very good we were very dissatisfied that the fact the food for the 3 people that ordered off the menu was served before the others eating with us were invited to go up to the Carvery thus we actually ended eating in 2 sittings. needs to be better organised. Excuse of being busy not acceptable, not all tables in use when orders were placed.
The carvery was quite a treat! Very good quality and well prepared meat, clearly a talented chef! There was plenty of selection for the vegetables, and the Yorkshire pudding was huge as well as crispy. Overall, I felt it was good value for money.Service: 5/5
Fantastic carvery. Busy but well organised, very generous portion of excellent roast beef and the desserts were great too! Very busy on a Sunday lunch time but that's because the food is so good!!Rooms: 5/5
Visited with my Nan and Uncle after church, we all had carvery which was good and dessert afterwards which was very tasty service was great considering how busy it was! My Nan is in a wheelchair and we had no trouble getting her in and out, although there is a small step/ridge at the back door it wasn't a problem. This was our second trip, I'm sure we'll be back again
Seriously disappointed ! Turned up on time for my Birthday meal , which was booked . We were shown to our table and then , that was it !! We never saw another member of staff for 20 minutes, not even to acknowledge us or even offer us some water so we left ! Staff were attending to tables who arrived after us . It seemed as if no one knew what they were doing.. I had heard such positive things before , so was really disappointed especially as it was my Birthday Treat !!
Loved it! The food was fantastic and good-sized portions. Staff friendly and decor and layout just perfect. Will definitely go back.
