Sometimes you read bad reviews and think "did they review the same place that I visited?" I love the cosiness of this place, and the lovely open fire. Excellent food and drink selection too. It is shame I am moving away and won't get to visit again as this is one place in Chi I really will miss.
Awesome pub we stumbled across in the centre of Chichester. Huge portions of really nice food, was a real struggle to squeeze in the starter and main which was a massive bonus . Good choice of beers on tap which is another nice touch. Bar staff were on point and really friendly. Keep up the smashing work, will recommend
This place is amazing. The staff are warm and friendly and very welcoming. We had a lovely meal with not one complaint. Hats off to the chef! Would recommend this place time and again and we most certainly will be back
Lovely authentic slow cooked barbecue, the service was slow, but worth the wait. I think if the service staff explained that the nature of the cooking meant longer wait times for food, there would be less complaints. But no issues with the quality of food and depth of flavour. First class.
Very quiet because of current restrictions deserves to be busier, I've been dropping in here whenever I'm in Chichester for about 10 years now and always found the staff friendly, the food better than most. We need to keep pubs like this open.
Friendly team, tasty food. The short rib tacos were great. Will have to go back to try the others! Can't believe it took me so long to find out what a great pub this is.
I won't be waiting in line to get back into the George. It was pleasant enough, the drinks were alright. The food on the other hand was the let down. The starters that were ordered were good, but the burgers were bland and chewy. The staff were pleasant though, and the outside area had a lovely atmosphere.
