The best place in town to come and drink, especially when the weather is nice. We had a dinner reservation with lovely comfy seats nAn extensive wine list paired with glasses that are actually nice, perfect.nNow the dishes aren't exactly cheap, but I would say that you get what you pay for.nnLooking forward to our next visit.
A lovely place with excellent food! We were only visiting the restaurant, but it made a very positive impression on us. The Mount Edgcumbe is very spacious and has inside a lot of tables. We got a nice table in the upstairs part of the restaurant with a separate room and a big spacious dining table.nThe food was good, tasty, and freshly prepared.nI can highly recommend the Harvey's Battered Haddock, the Seafood Board and the Beef Burger. The Selection of Nibbles was also very tasty. Service was friendly and willing to help with choosing the right dish.nNext time, we will definitely try the hotel for an overnight stay!
As a regular visitor to Tunbridge Wells my first choice for my overnight stay is always the Mount Edgcumbe - such a treat. The rooms are luxurious, comfortable and beautifully decorated and furnished - from the smallest to the largest. At less busy times my room has been upgraded. Every detail has been thought of. From arrival to departure, the staff are helpful and friendly - achieving a nice balance of attentiveness and space while providing a personal service. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the food is delicious. Dinner and breakfast are a treat. This is a family-run hotel, intimate and cosy, where everything is about the guest. I will, of course, be back there soon.
To get to Mount Edgecombe, you literally have to walk up the garden path!nnWhat a sophisticated yet quintessentially English Pub! The smells of leather, garden views, warm beer and many tasty options in very generous serves. The staff are attentive and it's very dog friendly with bowls for water and allowed inside and out.
The foods were excellent!nWe came for a dinner only without visiting their hotel. But the service, design and food were so great! Lamb was crispy outside and juicy inside, fish and chip was soo nice, the mussel was fresh tho a bit of sand In them, all of the chip were so tasty!
