The Mooretown Belle is a super, modern sports bar covered in TV screens with multiple feeds, four different sports on at the moment. Sunday lunch is on offer. Plenty of keg beer on offer along with Deuchars on cask. Three pool tables for the active sportsperson. A fine place to find.
A great place to watch sports games or to meet friends. They have big screens everywhere and if there are more than one game at the time they have different sections to watch it from. Drinks a bit more expensive but the atmosphere was great. They have an outside seating area too.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Fantastic Place to watch the sports on their massive screens. Or just to have a great time with your friends, dart boards and pool tables. Great variety of beers. Excellent food menu . Big enough for all your events. Wheel chair friendly. Out side seating with heated lamps for those colder day's. Definitely recommend this place.
Great food, service and value near the Tower of London. As an F1 fan I’ve been to a number of the races. And as a foodie, I’ve eaten in all sorts of places, from chip shops to Michelin star. So, F1 on a massive screen with surround sound and a massive Sunday roast, what better combination? Just around the corner from the Tower of London, it’s a wonderful and history filled walk to The Moretown Belle. Unlike other pubs, you’re greeted at the door by a host, with a warm smile as soon as you arrive. There’s plenty of seating , from booths, high tables and singles to groups. I went with my sister and we both decided to have the chicken for our roast. What surprised me was the variety and amount of vegetables. Fantastic - peas, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. I’m pretty sure we had a whole chicken between us. The plate was topped off with roast potatoes and an enormous Yorkshire pudding. We were true heroes and managed to eat a lot of it , but had to admit defeat. You definitely will not leave this place hungry after that roast. Service was slick and professional. I like the smart uniforms and how nothing was too much trouble. More gravy? A proper gravy boat arrived promptly. More drinks? Table service in a blink of an eye. For a part of London you’d expect to be a tourist trap, this is not. Locals, regulars, sports fans who find it online and book with their mates, families, and now me! It’s lovely to find an independent non - chain pub that really cares about just being brilliant. We will be back!
Was not expecting much of this place going in but it was actually one of the best vegetarian burgers I've ever had. Customer service was good and price was reasonable
Great location close to St Katherine's Dock. There is plenty of seating with plenty of open space. Always room at the large bar to purchase a wide array of drinks. The venue offers table service and the staff are very friendly. You can also have a tab for your table which is great for events. There are many TVs, Pool Tables, Darts. Large smoking area/beer garden outside the front of the venue. Toilets are always clean and smell fresh. No complaints about this venue, highly recommended and will be attending again!
The dictionary definition of a sports bar. The Moretown Belle has it all - multiple huge screens, pool tables, dart boards and an American inspired menu. A good place to watch your favourite football team try to avoid relegation whilst putting away a few generic beers. Food is fairly basic and not worth getting too excited about but it’ll fill the hole. Convenient.
Been to this restaurant today for Sunday Roast. Had 10 quid Sunday Roast vouchers. Asked the waitress whether they are valid when we arrived, and got confirmation we could. When come to get the bill, waitress said no, it’s 15 quid. She went and asked manager again and said no, 15. We’ve been long term local customers and decided to not make a fuss. We understand that it’s not easy time for owners. All I want to say to the manager is that this is not the way to do business. If you told us when we arrived the vouchers are no longer honoured, we’ll be totally fine. But doing this at the billing time is bad. We won’t be going back any time soon. All the best to the owners. Manager, hope you do things better in the future.
True to the sports fan, Moretown Belle graciously televised the American NFL playoffs that started at 9:30 at night and allowed us to stay to the end of the game. Mind you the kitchen closed and drinks were cut off on time, but we were allowed to hang out a bit to see the end of the game. Great burgers. Great cocktails. Gracious staff.
Warning: this place is NOT a pub. It is a restaurant with a sport theme. Yes, they do have big screens, but that's about it. We came here to watch saturday football, which we said when we came inn. They showed us to a table and they said the match would be on the main screen. It wasn't. We were sitting there watching horse races and rugby instead, to horribly loud dance music. The waitresses were lovely, polite and nice. That was the only high light. We didn't taste the food, so nothing to write about that, but we found this place to be little cozy and welcoming.
