MOOMIN MOOMIN MOOMIN!!! What a cute little store in the heart of Covent Gsrdens. They have a wide variety of MOOMIN themed gifts for kids of all ages. It’s fun, it’s cute, it’s MOOMIN time!!! Now there are some stairs involved, but just oh so worth it. We came across this store on accident, and went twice today. Will definitely return on our next London trip.
I went to Japan and let me tell you this shop items for the Moomin are way better than those found in Japan. If you're a fan of the Moomin this place is a must.
The moomin shop is absolutely brilliant amazing to see all the moomins it's beautifully decorated it was like walking into a dream x
Journey into Moomin Magic Nestled amidst the bustling streets of Covent Garden, the Moomin store beckons with its unassuming charm. If you're strolling through this vibrant neighborhood, this quaint little shop is an absolute must-visit. The Moomin Store isn't grandiose; it's more like stepping into a beloved storybook or an old forgotten bookstore. The space is compact, but every nook and cranny is brimming with nostalgia. You'll find yourself surrounded by whimsical characters, each whispering tales from Tove Jansson's enchanting world. While it doesn't boast an extensive selection, the Moomin Store cleverly maximizes its limited space. Shelves are adorned with plush Moomins, delicate ceramics, and charming stationery. It's like stumbling upon a hidden treasure trove. Whenever I'm in the vicinity, I gravitate toward this cozy haven. To be hones, I never miss it when I'm in London. Sometimes it's just for the sheer delight of immersing myself in Moomin magic. But more often than not, I emerge with a delightful purchase—a mug adorned with Snufkin's serene face or a bookmark featuring Little My's mischievous grin. Be warned—the Moomin Store is no secret. It draws fellow Moomin enthusiasts like bees to honey. Expect a crowd, especially during weekends. But isn't that part of the charm? Alas, the store's petite dimensions don't favor those with mobility challenges. A narrow and steep staircase and narrow aisles might pose difficulties for the disabled or handicapped. But for the rest of us, it's a snug cocoon of delight. As a child, I devoured the Moomin books—their whimsy, their melancholy, their timeless wisdom. And here, surrounded by Moomin mugs, posters, and plush toys, that childhood fascination reignites. The Moomin world remains a beacon of wonder, transcending generations. Even if you've never cracked open a Moomin book though, let's be honest, who hasn't?, the store invites you warmly. Step inside, meet Moomintroll and Snork Maiden, and perhaps you'll leave with a newfound curiosity about these endearing creatures. In a city where modernity often overshadows the past, the Moomin Store stands as a delightful anomaly. So, whether you're a seasoned Moomin aficionado or a curious wanderer, venture forth. The Moomins await, ready to sprinkle a little magic into your day. The Moomin Store holds a special place in my heart and I'm pretty sure that it will bewitch you as well if you only give it a chance.
A must-visit every time I’m in Covent Garden! Packed with so many lovely Moomin things - my only criticism is that the shop is very small and hanging £50 mugs on flimsy pegs is a little unnerving the sign saying all breakages must be paid for makes me wonder how often they get damaged because of the poor shop fitting solution?
It's a small shop but it definitely is worth having a look when you are visiting London and covent garden I went and had a look on the Friday just gone and I loved what I saw and even met the moomin street performer and I had lots of pictures taken!! The shop sells a great variety of gifts! It's lovely, I brought a pair of socks which fit me I do love moomins
My favorite childhood show/ characters . I was at the place almost yearly since 2016 maybe. Last time I bough cutlery and socks
Such a cute little shop, hidden away in beautiful Covent Garden. Everything was really reasonably priced, for under £10 I was able to buy a few cute little items. Perfect for lovers of the franchise!
Love this shop as it brings lots of childhood nice memories. They have lots of moomin items from kids spoons bottles and sleep suits to cushion, cups and trays. All with Moomin themes. Prices are really high but it nice to buy something to keep reminding me with my childhood. The shop decorations are amazing, And I would look to spend hours in it. Staff are nice and helpful.
