Any Amount Of Books

About

Ultra busy bookshop in the very heart of London. We buy books like they're going out of fashion & will travel anywhere in the known world & beyond if motivated.

Story

Our second-hand bookshop is in the centre of London. The shop is 50 yards from Leicester Square station, on the edge of Covent Garden and the Chinese quarter. We are close to many theatres and within spitting distance of Soho & Piccadilly--well worth a detour when in the mighty city.

We are open 10:30-9:30, 7 days a week. We have books as cheap as £1 and also rare books at many thousands of pounds. We buy books and will travel anywhere in the world if sufficiently motivated. Do let us know if you have a large collection of old books for sale. Lastly, nothing can replace actually going to a bookshop; shut down that machine now and come down to the shop if you are within 30 miles!

This is a brilliant second hand bookstore. It is basically a treasure trove of old books, many going back to the early 1800s. It is definitely worth while perusing the shelves as one is certainly bound to stumble upon a treasure. There are very few second hand bookstores left in the area and this one maintains the tradition. It is definitely worthwhile checking it out when you are in the vicinity
I've been visiting this shop for about 45 years, and for me it's one of the most important shops in London! Yes there are hundreds of more impressive/prestigous shops in our city, but this one is a really special place. The window display is always good, and within the staff are really helpful and the selection of books always varied and well priced. Thank you to the owner and staff for maintaining the essence of the Charing Cross Road. It's always a pleasure to visit Any Amount of Books!
Some of the books are very expensive, but I managed to get 3 Deleuze books for under a tenner, which is bonkers. You never quite know what you’re going to find and that’s half the fun.
It is sad to see closure of bookshops around Charing Cross and it could be the one of last remained secondhand bookshops in the area. We bought a lot of books from this bookstore, both online and in person at the store. Pretty good prices! Sometimes we couldn't find the books we wanted, but visiting this place is a fun itself. I must say they have more options online. It is understandable! I hope it will survive! Edit on 16 March 2023: It’s still there, must-visit!
Their seqtion of antiquarian books 16th-18th century is impressive. Also many first and second editions of books. If you are a book lover, you want to visit this place. Very friendly Italian owners.
Loved the vibe of the place and the fact that they sell second hand books. It’s a treasure in the heart of central London. Only wish they had more books though
I love any amount of books! Perfect if you searching for an old publishers books, you can find them here- or at least can get a decent advice where you can find them. Very exceptional book store. Old fashioned, for people who likes to read. Location is great In Charing Cross Road by famous hair salon Splash Charing Cross Walking distance from Trafalgar Square and Soho area. Great book store!
I was in a rush to view this gem of a book shop as my family was waiting but what I did see impressed me. The books were in good condition and reasonably priced. Will be back with my bookshop loving brother.
A lovely bookshop. Has a quaint feel and friendly staff. Always make sure to visit when in the area. They offer books covering a diverse range of topics and are reasonably priced.
What a find this shop is. They took time to locate and deliver an unusual book I wanted to gift a friend. Friendly, efficient and fairly priced, all by phone and email, great service, thank you.
