Popped in on way past. Lovely, friendly lady serving behind bar. Decent range of beers. Friendly locals. I'll definitely be back for some more beer's.Service: 5/5
A lovely welcoming pub The staff member Rachel I think was so friendly professional and pleasant she made the whole visit worthwhile I wish there were more Rachels in the world. If you are her employers, keep hold of her, she is well worth her weight in gold x
I have visited the pub on many occations and enjoyed a couple of drinks with my partner after work. I have paid the same price each time. On 25th May we were greeted with the usual friendly service, paid and enjoyed our drinks and decided to have another. We were then charged more for the second round i was informed that this was the real price and the other barmaid made up her own prices????????? Ripped off, i think i have been. £4.70 for a pint of Morretti that cost £3.10 in Ashton. Don't think i will be back.
What an awesome pub. The landlady Carol and her daughter Sherrie Dee are the finest of hosts. Together with great staff and great regulars make this a must call pub, when in the area.
Extortion at it's best... 2 double Gordons pink Gins, one with tonic, one with lemonade, £16.40! Hardly a premium gin... most if the other flavoured gins were from lidl. I dread to think how much one if those would have cost. When I questioned the bar staff she just said that "gin was more expensive "!.. we also left smelling like we'd been to a bonfire.
Fabulous German pint of Lager extremely friendly lady at the bar and is dog friendly, she even brought my Gina a treat when we sat down
Beer kept great, happy regulars and darts players. Beer gardens spacious and a warm welcome.
Called in late afternoon to have a quiet drink before a meal across the road. Another badly run and past it's sell by date Thwaites pub. Walking in through the door you think "gloomy dive" with worn out chewing gum encrusted carpets. All the upholstery is cheap and cracking up. What really hit us though was the lack of any welcome and being charged 3.40 for Fosters in a gloomy dump. Sitting in a nice bright friendly bar in the town center now and Fosters is 2.10. Just down the road in another good pub it's 1.90. Fed up of being ripped off by Thwaites. Regards but we won't be back.. Papa Luigi's across the road was very good.
Nice little pub friendly staff reasonably priced beer
The only negative they had egg chasers on the tvService: 5/5
