Absolutely a little gem of a pub ,the atmosphere in there is so friendly and the pub itself is full of character, plenty of ales to choose from too ,highly recommended
One of Wigan's best pub's in one of it's oldest buildings. A great crowd of regulars but equally welcoming to the occasional visitor, particularly if you're partial to the ever changing selection of guest ales. A fantastic alternative to the identikit big screen and loud dance music establishments in the rest of the town centre.
Great atmosphere. Staff were polite and efficient. Bar area was cramped with folk seated at the bar so difficult to get served.
Always busy and best juke box in town. Great atmosphere and great beer!!

Owners are the best people on earth, the most friendliest of friends you can have. Pop a visit down ya local pub its a classic.
Always been a favourite, with tuder being shut it's best pub in Wigan.
Every pub should have a jukebox because that is a major factor of it being a pub to me. Sadly a huge percentage of pubs are closing....most of them had no jukebox....get my drift...ha ha. Top marks always to the John Bull.
