6/5/2018. Went to the beer garden today to enjoy a couple of pints with my wife. There was only 2 staff serving and it was taking half an hour to be served. We ordered food which was good however when I asked the waitress for some salt she told me it was really busy and I’d have to look for some myself. Furthermore I was told I would have to go get my own cutlery from inside as they were busy.

A lot better since changing ownership & having a total refurbishment. Superb rear patio area/beer garden. Place is now modern. Great selection of ale. Staff are great.

Nicely renovated with an excellent outside space, including an outside bar (in busy periods) and a useful row of wooden booths in which to shelter when necessary during the British summer! A selection of cask ales is available, and the cocktails appeared to be popular. Quirky and interesting decor with plenty of seating of different types, both inside and out.

The service in here is the worst I have ever experienced in any pub. Been in several times since it re-opened, but 95% of the time, it doesn't merit even the one star awarded here. Very poor. Always kept waiting even when the bar is quiet and there are lots of servers.
