Really nice pub/restaurant. The food menu was quite limited but the quality was great. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Overall it was just a really well looked after pub/restaurant. Ideally I would have liked more choice on the menu and it was at the higher end of what I would normally pay for pub food but you pay for quality.

Booked Sunday lunch and the beef was tender and melt in the mouth. A good selection of vegetables. The staff were very good.

Visited here on a Saturday afternoon while having a weekend in the Lakes. We went for lunch and the place was about half full. There was only two girls doing the bar and both areas to the restaurant. We waited an age for everything almost to the point of walking out. The girls were very apologetic all the time and i felt sorry for them. The food is good but the staffing levels are awful. So i wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Food good but service abysmal - will not eat here again. Drinks not offered during the meal - these were only available at the bar on a different floor. Food was slow to be brought to the table, and people were left waiting for a long while whilst others' food was going cold. Booked for a large group of people and paid a hefty deposit. On the night, two members of the party did not show, and so we had to pay for their meals in full. This was fine, however the staff also charged us an additional £20 for the missing people, and argued for nearly an hour about this fact, claiming 'it's just company policy', before threatening to call the police. They were dealing with a party of sober and well-mannered individuals, who explained time and time again why the charge did not make sense, yet we were treated terribly. For the sake of £20 they've lost 17 regular customers and a £40 tip, and we most definitely will not be recommending The Mill to others in the future. Appalling.
