For the price it was absolutely fine. The pub itself is nice, with a cool beer garden outside. Food was good. Rooms were basic but have everything you need for a short stay. Shower was great. All the staff were really nice and helpful.nnI was there for the Velo Retro weekend and it was perfectly situated for the events in the town center.nnIt was noisy at night, but you are warned about this several times during the booking process, so I can't complain about that. If you want a quiet stay you'll have to go a bit further out from the town center.
Booked the private function room for a small work function and everything went perfectly. The staff were extremely helpful and organised. And we were able to move between upstairs and downstairs with ease to watch the football match at the time.nnThe food was absolutely incredible and the leftover food was even boxed up.nnIn summary, I’d highly recommend The Sun Inn for any parties or functions.
A very dog friendly pub with decent beer and friendly helpful staff, what's not to like,nLoved the fact they let people play their own vinyl records, heard some great tracks by bands I probably would never have listened to.nA nice friendly atmosphere highly recommended.
Went for tea for a friend's birthday. Food was lovely, service was great. A lovely atmosphere. And really good prices. Been a few times with friends and never disappointed yet.
Called in at The Sun Inn for Sunday lunch. Had a starter of homemade soup and warm bread roll, followed by an absolutely amazing roast beef dinner. Warm and friendly staff with excellent service. Would highly recommend The Sun Inn for a drink and meal if you are ever in the area.
