Proper family atmosphere without ever becoming over familiar. Good beers and coffee. Massive tasty dinners, often busy but always fast excellent service. It's what we have come to expect from the pub and our first time as Hotel guests did not disappoint. More of the same laid back yet efficient service. Rooms are basic and comfortable a relaxing experience all round. Thanks to great staff.

Went In a large group which you expect a couple of mistakes due to numbers. However they were quick and never made any mistakes whatsoever. Even went out the way for a few special requests. The food was of a good standard and plenty of it. Really enjoyed my visit. Also been to watch sports in the past and plenty of tvs to watch. Would recommend.

Famous pub locally and the only place with a 2am license for the weekends. Modern and traditional mix. Good food and a selection of drinks. Fair pricing.

Cheap and clean and lovely complementary cup cakes (nice touch). unfortunately thats where the positives end. I did wonder why we were supplied ear plugs on arrival on return to my room at midnight I found out. Very noisy until around half two. My partner tells me however they in fairness do state this on the website however it is very loud. The car park is an absolute nightmare to get into as well especially when you arrive on market day as the main street is closed until 5 you find yourself going down a narrow back alley with a real unnatural angle of which you have to manoeuvre. Again all this said was very cheap and absolute proof that you get what you pay for.

The mushroom stroganoff was outstanding. I had it with beef which costs extra. The mushrooms were juicy the sauce rich, creamy and had just the right amount of mustard tanginess. The accompanying rice was perfectly cooked, piping hot with being sticky. The half of a Ciabata was both crispy and soft at the same time. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back.
