Food here is absolutely lovely. I had the ribs and wings in a homemade Bbq sauce to start. The wings were cooked to perfection and the ribs came off the bone. The Bbq sauce was also delicious. For mains, I had the steak and ale pie. This came as two pieces of steak and puff pastry on the top. It was all cooked to perfection again. The meal came with a side of chips and vegetables which was enough to feed a couple of people if I'm honest.

Went in for breakfast , breakfast OK . the pub itself manifested into a toddler/baby meeting place with the parents seemingly happy to let their kids run around screaming whilst people try to have their breakfast , the bar staff were miserable and were Just going through the motions. I think one cracked a smile once , just. I can only imagine this place turns into a Leary workers drinking den on a Friday evening with scores of shop fitters , roofers and manual labour types in scruffy jeans and t shirt's with scores of transit vans outside watching the sport on TV and swearing loudly . best to sum this pub up as chavy .

Great pub atmosphere. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Good selection of beers on tap and quality food. If you are visiting Ulverston the pub of choice to stop off at.

Had dinner there today with the family, couldn't fault it, great staff and a superb meal, a return visit is on the cards..
