*AVOID* AVOID* Early on a saturday we waited over 30mins for four sub par starter and another 40 minutes for our mediocre plain main. Not a smile or even attempt to care from all staff. Such poor service in a dirty restaurant, put in a cramped corner and seemingly forgotton about. My mildly spice curry had 10 full chillies in it. No love in the food. Great if youve got three hours to waste in a clammy worn out cave. Cobwebs on the staircase, cracking walls, brown stains on the carpet, I cannot understand how this place continues to survive. I cannot believe I PAID to experience that. Please please save your money go somewhere else or just cook at home. I dread to think what to state of the kitchen is.

Great food fabulous tastes they even ask how hot u like your food always happy to advise you hat to try for your palette x lot off choice on menu x and the aroma that drift out from kuchen is amazing x

Got a take away from here on a Friday night and was impressed. My good was ready in 30 mins, hot and tasty when tucking in!

Unfortunately most other restaurants were closing by the time we got to Ulverston so we had no choice but to make our way to the British Raj. Went with very low expectations and this place failed to deliver to even those. Service was nice and friendly (except the grumpy manager), but the food was really not good at all and the miserly rice portions surprised me. Grubby and shabby interiors completed the evening.
