Fantastic carvery today, recently moved to the area must say after trying a lot of other places in the area this little family pub beats them by far for the carvery looks like a lot of work is being done to the pub inside and out and I'm excited to see the finished product lovely staff also will definitely be returningFood: 5/5
Since new owners have taken over the pub has been turned around so positively the new menu is great the Cajun skewers are amazing the beer garden is looking good almost finished can’t wait for it be done hats off to the new owners really turned the pub nice to see people going there again keep up the great work guysFood: 5/5
Lovely pub great place they are currently doing the beer garden and is already looks ike its going to be fantastic can't wait for it to be finished the Sunday carvery is the best in the area without a doubt honestly no one is currently doing it better the food is great and the fact that they deliver to people which is amazing it helps the vulnerable who can't get out for a Sunday lunch really lovely family that have taken over really hope they stay and keep making this pub great again
We were pleasantly surprised that the new tenants, Sam and Corey , now do all their own cooking. We enjoyed an excellent carvery for Sunday lunch, which was delicious and excellent value.Food: 5/5
Absolutely fantastic service from Sam! She saved the day. After booking for a party of 8 to celebrate 2 birthdays and mothers day at another pub which we had to leave due to bad service, loud football fans and a table in the doorway, which they had under booked, we decided to try out the midway, Burton. Phoned before turning up, and what a lovely place to celebrate. Quiet large table in a warm area. We had no difficulty in choosing our food and drinks which were served quickly. Sam was very helpful and accommodating, and very understanding to our situation. Thank you so much for the excellent service, food and hospitality. We will definitely be coming back to sample Sam's home made food. Thank you again. The Hancox family x
What a lovely little pub, visited this weekend and was greeted with a family run establishment with lovely welcoming staff who were poised for a chat whilst we ordered our drinks and even treated ourselves to a carvery, the drinks were lovely and the carvery was gorgeous, with a choice of freshly cooked meats and veg and the most amazing homemade roast potatoes, the honey roasted carrots and parsnips were absolutely mouthwatering! After a chat with the landlady who was serving the carvery herself we found that this has only been running for three Sundays but it was absolutely amazing to say the least. Thankyou to Sam, Cory & team we had a lovely first visit and will be back soon!
We came on Mother’s Day for carvery! Sam and Cory have recently taken over and this was their first week hosting carvery and they did an amazing job! Booked in again for Sunday lunch again this week and we are already looking forward to it!Food: 5/5
