9.15pm informed last orders by the doorman. No entry. After a good night previously wonder why after all the losses of the last 2 years the doorman closed the Pub 45 minutes early. Sad night when the only option was to suggest you go to Wetherspoons. Not good for independent publicans.
As a foreigner I still like this place- friendly staff, clean, and has good priced drinks and Lilly’s cider! It’s a win for me!Service: 5/5
This is a real pub with good beers & no loud music simply very friendly chatty people in public bar. Excellent home cooked food in the lounge lunch time not Mon and some evenings. Always full of locals. Been a pub for well over 120 years. Wont have to book for lunches. They will happily cook anything if they have it and if they don't often go out and buy it. The omelets are consistently the best ever had. Simple good Beer and British food in excellent Derbyshire environment. Easily the best place to go to in the town.
Came out here for a few drinks, great DJ on Friday and Saturday nights. Part of craft union. Pool table and dart board to pass the time while having a rave!!
