Lovely pub. Could do with some better outdoor furniture. Nicely furnished inside. Friendly and helpful staff. Food reasonable but wine overpriced for what it was. Staying over night the room was generous in size with a large TV. Plenty of tea and coffee and chilled water in bottles. The bathroom was well fitted out but take all your own toiletries as none were provided. Breakfast is generous and well cooked but would have been improved by a locally sourced farm sausage. We enjoyed our stay.
Great little pub, quirky with its rustic look, food very good service freindly and unhurried. Has its own car park. Good selection of drinks. Does bed and breakfast at a reasonable cost. Vegetarian options: I am sure they can provide vegetarian options Parking: There is parking for about 7 cars directly outside but 50 yards further up the road there is more off road parking available. Kid-friendliness: Staff are helpful however no kids facilities like play area however you would need to enquire. Wheelchair accessibility: Possible to enter by side entrance. May be difficult to negotiate mobility of wheelchair once inside. Is not disabled freindly for overnight stays
Perfect Ending to a Walk in Hartshorne Woods Review: After a delightful walk through the serene Hartshorne Woods, there’s no better place to wind down than at The Bulls Head. This charming establishment is not just a treat for the weary walker but a delightful experience in itself. The staff here are the epitome of friendliness, greeting every guest with a warm smile and excellent service. The prices are surprisingly affordable, making it a great spot for regular visits. What truly sets The Bulls Head apart is its cozy and inviting atmosphere, creating a perfect environment to relax and chat with friends or family. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a welcoming spot after a day out in nature!

Definitely will be back 15/11/2019 Update: went again last night, the food was 5 star! My steak was delicious and my partners fish whale was really good!! Incredible little pub. Not stayed in the hotel but the pub is so nice. Lunch menu is a bargain too. Dave, serving was really welcoming and friendly. A must visit if you're in the area.
Always good here. Took the wife for her birthday. Food and drinks were excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Just right. We'll be going back soon.
No...I do not own this Pub...I just wish I did . What a find , a week working in the area and fed up with the plastic joys of modern Hotel chains. A classic village pub, a great room , double bed large tv , nice clean bath/shower , the sound of the dawn chorus in the morning and of distant church bells at night . I tried un-successfully to kidnap the chef who cooked the home made steak and ale pie....the pastry was so light it exploded into smithering the moment the knife started to cut through . Dave the owner seemed to pop up at all times , serving behind the bar ...up ladders fixing things in the car park...doing paperwork and constantly polishing odd items around the bar area in brief moments of quiet . To the lady behind the bar ...have a great cruise in a few weeks, to the chefs who cooked classic fresh pub food ...none of the microwaved stuff on show here , thanks for ruining my diet
Stayed here for a wedding at The Hidden Hive. Mandy & Dave were very accommodation letting us get the keys early so we didnt have to travel back and forth from the venue. Room was comfy, bring an eye mask if you need dark as emergency lighting didnt bother me. Breakfast was spot on, full english and a brew. Would come again 5*!
Amazing place to have food. Had roast beef dinner and you could tell everything was cooked and prepared freshFood: 5/5
