It’s a really good value carvery and the staff went the extra mile.Food: 5/5
Went with family for a Sunday carvery it was gorgeous plenty of choice of veg all cooked to perfection, fabulous welcome from Jamie young lady serving us at table was lovely and great fun and very polite and professional shame the brewery aren't keeping them on after they work so hard to make it nice and provide such great entertainment nights when they've gone I shan't bother going again I was going to book it for my 70th birthday party but if Jamie isn't there and his family I will go somewhere else
Fist ever visit to this pub, went for Sunday carvery, wow it was so good and only £6.95 outstanding value for money. All fresh cooked food and you can help yourself to as much as you want! They also do some lovely home made puddings and cakes. Highly recommended
Came for the first time this afternoon with our little one for a Sunday Carvery. Overall, a lovely service and great food! : Lovely family owned pub, friendly chill atmosphere. Will be returning for sure!Food: 5/5
Our friends booked us in today to try the carvery. Never been here before as its out of town for us, but my god, we are coming back. This is probably the best carvery I've ever had. Myself and two others opted for the large plate which was about £12-13 and we were stunned at the platter size plates. It is proper home cooked food, the meat was delicious and of a high quality, and cooked perfectly. You get proper portions of it too. The veg was amazing, particularly the cauliflower/broccoli cheese, the leek and cabbage, and the roast vegetables. But it's often the little touches; the inclusion of a plastic spoon for a toddler never get that anywhere, being made to feel welcome by the staff, who were excellent, friendly and helpful and know how to pull a decent beer. Also, it was explained that little goes to waste, being used as feed for the animals outside. Amazing job Railway Inn, we will be back.
1st time in there staff was so helpful nd nice we had a carvery for £10.50 u can get smaller nd larger but was well enough for standard was very impressed will go again there's plenty of rooms like t day bank holiday weekend there was live music in 1 we was in sports bar there's a lounge nd a restaurant yea if u local or around the area give it a go I can recommend it Well happy with the place Thank you tonthe lovely staff nd young lass or served us in sports bar there's darts nd a pool table too Parking: There's a car park at the side nd u type in ur reg No. On the parkin tablet on bar nd thats it ur sorted was a few more cars there t day as Bank Holiday custom cars etc Kid-friendliness: 2 young lads came in to play pool young teenagers nd they seemed t be OK Wheelchair accessibility: There's a slope gradual ramp on the side entry
Heard about the railway from a mate I thought I would give it to dry excellent great choice of meat and vegetables will definitely go again and I will certainly past the word on Parking: Just give your registration in at the registration all good
What a fantastic carvery!! Great Pub with friendly staff and is also dog friendly in the bar. The carvery was absolutely amazing and was my choice against many other carveries in the area. The food was of exceptional quality and the plate sizes were extremely generous. I had a large plate and it defeated me. In fact i ate more veg than meat. The standard would have done me. The prices for the carvery beat any other local carveries. Good parking next to the park. But put your car reg in when you enter the pub. The pedigree bitter was also exceptional quality too. It also has a great outdoor area too and very good for kids. Highly recommended.
Excellent carvery, some of the best meats I've had on a Sunday lunch - tender and cooked to perfection, and at a great price too. Huge choice of veggies and accompaniments - 3 types of potato and at least 7 different veggies. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Lovely to see the chickens, ducks and bunnies in the beer garden and an excellent outdoor play area too. Will be back!
Went for a carvery with the kids for Father's day. The food was great. My eyes were bigger than my belly but I finished it. Kids enjoyed playing outside and seeing the animals. Give it a try. Thanks Railway Inn Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Climbing frame, tube slides, swings, toys and some animals to keep your kids amused.
