One of the lovely spots in Edinburgh to spend your day out with family and group of friends under the sun cooking on a barbecue. Or, get fit with a huge field to play any game. Enjoy the nature with breezy morning walks.
Love this park area, nostalgic for me as I went to school nearby. Great on a sunny day to take a blanket and a picnic to.
A nice green space near the university. On normal times you can find food vans nearby to grab something to eat. When we went, it was snowing and it was like a ski resort! A rare opportunity if you have a sledge. I gave 4 stars because normally it gets really busy on a sunny day with very little parking available around.
More Flowers would be nice, other than that its a good spot at night, feels pretty safe to be in since it's open and well lit. They should encourage more recycling or Eco initiatives though, I expect it might get pretty full of trash during tourist season
The best place for sunbathing and relaxation ....and even sports activities!!! A lovely place for picnic and handy for little barbecue parties
Beautiful place to sit and relax in the sunshine I know, there's no much of it in Scotland and just unwind. It also has tennis courts, and a large playground for the kids to let steam off. There's usually a festival in the summer, but sadly cancelled due to covid restrictions. Beautiful tree lined walkways are situated throughout.
I go there at lunch from work. It is beautiful.. only down side is, it is close to schools so heaving Mon-Fri from about 12 -3. Plenty of benches but not at those times. The signs are interesting and info on nature. Plenty space for sports and even history chucked in. Lots of places to eat in or take away near by.
This place is a perfect place for a quick meet up and really close to university of Edinburgh campus as well. And a must visit during spring when cherry blossoms are blooming.
Great place for walk in the city. Looks awesome during the spring with all the cherry blossoms and daffodils and various other colourful flowers. The fields are wonderful for having picnics or for different games.
