Fantastic hike with an even more beautiful views along the way. The view from the top is breathtaking! There are different trails but most are from easy to moderate level. I 100% recommend taking a hike when in Edinburgh because the sights of the city from above is spectacular.

Great walks up and around Blackford hill for me and my dog. Plenty of folk doing the same. Paths not hoping too well - lots of erosion. Stunning views over the city, to Fife and the Pentlands.
Great for short or long walks. You can park at the royal observatory if you want a short walk but you can also do a loop. The alltrails site has good details of the loop which is about 3.3 miles and provides some amazing views of Edinburgh and the surrounding area. One of the best walks in Edinburgh.
It is a wonderful hill that is not difficult to climb and you can see the city from a wide perspective.
This place is simply amazing. If you are a tourist in Edinburgh it’s a must see place. The view is stunning and luckily there isn’t touristy. Absolutely recommended, not crowded like Arthur’s seat.
Visited on a stunning November day. Crystal clear views of the city and surrounding environment. 100% worth a visit after Arthur’s seat.
Lovely walk destination especially when the days are so pretty and the weather mild and nice to us humans. I would recommend to go there in the evening, as you can see all the Edinburgh lights and that’s honestly truly beautiful. Meet the rabbits and say hello to them if you decide to go.
I hiked this wee hill on 6th June 2020. It was a pre-celebration of my birthday on 7th June 2020. The experience is exhilarating and the weather was godsend. We don't say that often in Edinburgh lol. Take a book with you and take some silly photos for remembrance
