A very open park space with a children's playpark and benches. Some beautiful spring crocuses today. It borders the Union Canal so is a very pleasant place to wander or sit a while.
Great place to go for a walk, so peaceful and beautiful. Got a canal as well, where you get a good walkway beside. It also has a small kids play area as well.
I am sure I've reviewed this before. It's one of my local parks, right next to the Union Canal. Very accessible paths, mostly level and tarmac. The park extends on both sides of the bridge over the canal. You can go under the bridge, but the path there is cobbled so not great if you're in a wheelchair, but it's probably just about possible, just go slowly, stay close to the wall and watch out for cyclists before you go! There are no public toilets nearby but there are some local cafés that may allow you to use their facilities. Check out their accessibility first though!
This is such a good park and very pretty for a walk or hanging around. This is next to merchiston Park as well and even tho both are popular on a nice sunny day you can still find a place to sit down. Next to the canal where you can see some swans and ducks with their new family additions makes it very relaxing
Beautiful park! Well maintained. Nestled in between some of Edinburgh's nicest neighborhoods. During the spring season, the daffodils and Cherry blossomsare a treat to the eyes. A section of the park has a nice canopy of trees lining on both sides, a walk through this section is just amazing. The park is very close to the beautiful Union canal.
It's a beautiful soothing park, I could spend hours sitting by the bench having greeny views to my eyes while the breeze when it's not dead freezing gives me a walk down to memory lane. Loved it!
Attractive open space by the canal with mature trees, sloping gently downhill with benches, dog-friendly and children's play area; with playing fields and sports pitches adjacent. There are no public toilets or other facilities.
My favourite park in edinburgh.. So green and lovely.. very close to canal..have a scenic view...Such a lovely park for all ages...beautiful trees and more space.. for playing, exercise, dog walking, relaxing in benches and lot more.. the canal nearby is added beauty.. i am so attracted towards the beautiful swans, ducks.. i love going daily jogging along the canal..
Interesting park with some lovely blossom trees in Spring and some amazing colours in autumn. Being next to the canal adds an extra touch of beauty. It can get quite busy in those rare scorching Scottish summer days but still manages to maintain a mellow, chill atmosphere. Very quiet in the mornings and good for a run, but beware weekends and a few hours during the week as there is a few football teams that train and play games here.
Lack of access to a public toilet, but other than that lovely area for all ages and a lot of dog walkers Restrooms: Lack of public toilet in general area, which would be fine except when trying to toilet train young children or if wanting to stay out for extended periods. It might be there is a toilet in a near-by cafe but only when it's open, and only if owner happy to let you use it etc
