Excellent country pub, well kept real ales and great food available long hours. Cosy fires in cold weather and great garden when it's warm. Great area for country walks - pub is dog and walker friendly. No mobile phone network cover! Very welcoming manager and staff.

Lovely place found by serendipity. Very welcoming to dogs: wooden boards by bar and hard wearing carpets in main room. Two fireplaces, nice function room too. Food fast and hot. Cappuccino perfect, with firm frothy top. Tea plentiful in good sized tea pot. Friendly folk.

Lovely country pub, a very warm and cozy feel, even in the restaurant side. Visited here after an autumnal visit to the National Trust property Grey's Manor nearby. Met some family here and had a wonderful Sunday roast, Lamb served with potatoes and greens. Not overly expensive either, around £15 each including a drink.

Went there for dinner (Jan 2018) having not been in a few years. The decor and menu have changed. Its famed pancakes are no longer a regular. It was very nice, albeit expensive. It is still a dog friendly pub.

Thank you so much for doing gluten free fish and chips today! The batter was crispy and tasted good and it was so nice to be able to have this option as it’s usually impossible. I’ll be back for more soon.
